Vikes set for West Coast Collegiate

NEWS & NOTES
  • The Vikes host the University of British Columbia as well as local club teams at Commonwealth Place in their final home test ahead of the U SPORTS championships, set for March 6-8.
  • Victoria is coming off a dual meet with Simon Fraser University, in which the Vikes picked up 13 wins and saw one new school record be written one weekend ago, Feb. 1.
  • Mackenzie Hurd became the Vikes' latest U SPORTS qualifier against SFU, going 29.23 in the 50 back to punch her ticket. The Vikes now have 23 swimmers qualified for the championships.
  • Already the Vikes record holder in the men's 50 fly after his performance at the Canada West Championships in November, Keir Ogilvie beat his own time against Simon Fraser to bring the school record down to 24.05.
  • Erin Epp recorded two wins for the Vikes women's side, taking the women's 200 IM title with a time of 2:23.17 along with the 50 breast win at 33.21 in the dual meet. Epp has recorded a win in at least one event in each of the three meets the Vikes have competed in so far in 2025.
