Kamloops, B.C. - The University of Victoria men's and women's golf teams finished in second and third places as teams, respectively, at the 2025 Canadian University/College Championships, June 3-6 at Rivershore Golf Links.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Knight leads men's side with All-Canadian performance
- Jagre Knight led the way for the Vikes men's side, shooting 76, 67, 69, and 72 for a -4 overall finish.
- The -4 card was good for fifth overall individually, earning Knight a nod to the All-Canadian team.
Davies leads Vikes women's side
- Brynne Davies was the top finisher on the Vikes women's side, taking sixth place individually at +9 overall following rounds of 77, 73, 72, and 75. This is the second-straight top-10 individual finish at the Canadian University/College Championships for Davies, who tied for 10th in 2024.
Rummel, Koira post top 15 finishes
- Lana Rummel took 11th overall in the women's field, posting rounds of 82, 79, 74, and 76 to finish at +23 to cap her Vikes career.
- Cindy Koira was close behind with a tie for 12th finish, ending at +28 with rounds of 77, 76, 83, and 80.
Adam, Kirby cap Vikes careers
- Taylor Adam improved 17 spots on the final day of action, shooting her tournament best score of 76 over the last 18 holes to go along with rounds of 94, 84, and 78 for a +44 finish in a tie for 21st in her final event as a Vike.
- Also closing his Vikes career was Daniel Kirby, who tied for 12th overall after ending even over four days of play with rounds of 73, 68, 77, and 70, improving from his 38th place finish in 2024.
Croft, Lines, and Johnson round out men's five
- Tying for 20th place on the men's side was Owen Croft, shooting 77, 72, 73, and 71 for a +5 overall result.
- One shot behind Croft was Maguire Lines, finishing +6 in a tie for 22nd with a 72, 77, 70, 75 showing.
- Myles Johnson rounded out the VIkes' men's side, scoring rounds of 85, 73, 78, and 76 to take 47th place at +24.
Vikes men finish second, women third as teams
- The Vikes' men's side finished in second place as a team with a collective +3 after four rounds of play, while the women's team took third place at +51 over four rounds of play.
- Both teams improved one place from their team finishes in 2024, when the men finished third and women fourth.
