Victoria, BC – The University of Victoria men's soccer team finished off their play this weekend with a 2-0 win over Thompson Rivers University, Sep. 27 at Centennial Stadium.
Pearse's goal ties him for the team scoring lead
- In the 10th minute off a deflected header from Alex Moody, Matthew Pearse caught everyone by surprise as he booted a bouncing ball passed the Wolfpack's keeper.
Vikes lengthened the lead
- Manchand Virk set up Takin Keshavarz as he blasted a shot from the edge of the box and past the Timberwolves' goalie for his second goal of the season.
Weir shut the door in the second half
- Callum Weir was unbeatable in this game. He shut the door on the Wolfpack's scoring attempts, earning his second straight shutout of the weekend.

- With the win, the Vikes improve to 8-1-2 and the Wolfpack fall to 1-10-1.
- The Vikes have now won six in a row against Thompson Rivers, only allowing one goal spanning those games.
