UBC Matchup Preview:

- Victoria enters the contest having won the last two meetings, including a convincing 43-25 victory over the Thunderbirds earlier this season and a 26-5 win in Vancouver during the spring.

Recap of Previous Game:
- The Vikes continued their push for a Canada West playoff spot last weekend, earning a scoreless draw against Fraser Valley Cascades before falling 2-0 to undefeated UBC Thunderbirds.
- Victoria controlled much of Friday's match against Fraser Valley, outshooting the Cascades 10-6 and holding a 6-1 advantage in shots on goal. Brianne McLeish, Scarlett McNeely, and Anika Black all created quality chances, while Stefanie Mocnik recorded the clean sheet.
- The Vikes carried that defensive momentum into Sunday's matchup with UBC, holding the conference leaders to a one-goal advantage at halftime. Mocnik made three first-half saves, while Claire Nicholas and Hannah Harper each generated dangerous second-half chances as Victoria pushed for an equalizer.
- Despite the loss, the Vikes have earned points in three of their last five matches and remain within striking distance of a playoff position entering the final four games of the regular season.
UNBC Matchup Preview:
- The Vikes return home this weekend looking to strengthen their push for a Canada West playoff berth after earning a draw against Fraser Valley Cascades and battling undefeated UBC Thunderbirds in a hard-fought 2-0 defeat.
- Victoria has historically dominated the series against UNBC, posting a 15-0-2 all-time record and going unbeaten in all 17 meetings between the programs.
- The Vikes have won eight of the last 10 matchups against the Timberwolves and are coming off a 4-1 victory in the most recent meeting last season.
- Home field has been particularly kind to Victoria in this matchup, with the Vikes owning a 9-0-1 record against UNBC at Centennial Stadium.
UBCO Matchup Preview:
- The Vikes wrap up the home portion of their regular season against UBC Okanagan, a team they defeated 1-0 earlier this month for their first victory of the season.
- The two sides have played three times already in the past 13 months, with Victoria earning a 1-0 win and a 0-0 draw this season after dropping a narrow 2-1 result in 2025.
- While the Vikes hold an 8-4-5 advantage in the all-time series, recent meetings have been tightly contested. Five of the last 10 matchups have ended in draws, and six of the last seven meetings have been decided by one goal or fewer.
- Victoria will be looking to build on its recent defensive success against the Heat. The Vikes have not conceded a goal to UBCO in their last two meetings and held the Heat scoreless across 180 minutes earlier this season.
Men's Soccer (5-4-2)
Friday, October 16 at 7:15 p.m. & Saturday, October 17 at 7:15 p.m.
Vikes will host the UNBC Timberwolves (2-4-6) and UBCO Heat (0-11) in their last home games of the season.

- Victoria showed it can compete with the conference's best, earning a draw and a one-goal loss against UBC this season while extending its streak to points in four of its last five matches heading into this weekend's road trip to UNBC and UBC Okanagan.

- The series includes one of the most dominant performances in program history, an 8-0 Victoria victory in 2012. That mark stood as the program record until it was matched earlier this season against MacEwan.
- With the Vikes currently occupying a playoff position, Friday's matchup presents an opportunity to collect valuable points against a team below them in the standings.
UBCO Matchup Preview:
- Victoria closes the weekend against a familiar opponent in UBC Okanagan, a team the Vikes defeated 4-0 in Kelowna earlier this season.
- The Vikes have dominated the recent history of the matchup, winning eight straight meetings while posting a 14-5-1 all-time record against the Heat.
