Victoria, BC – The University of Victoria men's basketball team emerged victorious in a 93-85 win over the University of British Columbia, February 7 at CARSA Performance Gym.
The first three quarters were neck and neck.
- For the first three quarters of this regular-season finale, both teams were playing with intensity on both ends of the floor.
- The seniors, Ethan Boag, Geoffrey James, and Sergio Pereira, were all playing key roles. Pereira came off the bench and provided some much-needed depth inside to contend with the UBC bigs.
- Both teams were finding success scoring, leading to UBC holding a slim 42-41 halftime lead.
- Out of the locker room, the crowd was treated to an exciting third quarter filled with pace and plenty of scoring. Both teams scored 24 points in the third, setting up an exciting finish.

- The Thunderbirds fought back, narrowing the lead, but Renoldo Robinson made his presence known on the defensive end. Robinson created a turnover, swaying the momentum of the game.
