Winnipeg, MB – The University of Victoria's track and field team won a silver medal at the U SPORTS Championships hosted by the University of Manitoba.
 
Women's 4x800m Relay Team secured U SPORTS hardware

• The team of Rory O'Brien, Stella McLeod, Erin Owens, and Marisha Thompson captured the silver medal as their stellar performance in the 4x800m ranked second in the nation. A strong race had these Vikes finish with a time of 8:48.91, the best race by the entire team all weekend.

 
This concludes the track and field season. The next stop for the Vikes will be the 2026 FISU World Cross Country Championship as Madelyn Eybergen, Marisha Thompson, Jaxon Kuchar, and Vikes assistant coach Kala Stone will head to Cassino, Italy, to compete March 14-15.
