📣 Vikes men’s basketball capture first national title in 28 years!
The wait is over! In a powerhouse season, your Vikes men’s basketball team brought home the U SPORTS national championship—our first in nearly three decades.
- Regular season record: 20-0 (undefeated!)
- Overall record: 30-1
- Major honours:
- U SPORTS & Canada West Defensive Player of the Year
- Multiple All-Star selections
- Tournament MVP and three national All-Stars
This victory was more than a scoreboard win—it was a statement. And you helped make it happen.
Beyond the court: Your support = real impact
Donor contributions opened doors—literally and figuratively—for our student-athletes. Here’s how:
- Scholarships removed barriers, letting athletes focus on academics and athletics.
- Recruitment soared, drawing top players from Vancouver Island and across Canada.
- Global preseason exposure, built team chemistry and sharpened performance.
Fall training trips to the Bahamas and Mexico, funded by your generosity, gave the team vital early experience. The lessons learned against NCAA and U SPORTS powerhouses helped shape our championship run.
