Canada West Cross Country Championships & Community Races
The University of Victoria Vikes are proud to host the 2025 Canada West Cross-Country Championships!
The best distance runners from university teams across western Canada will come to the island on Oct. 25. The cross country championships will take place on the campus of Royal Roads University, offering runners a picturesque backdrop that includes Hatley Castle, a National Historic Site.
Admission is free for spectators. Come out and cheer on these incredible athletes!

Calling all superheroes! Kids of all abilities are invited to take on a fun and accessible 1 km loop with hills, grass and paved path, hay bales, and the backdrop of Hatley Castle. Costumes are welcome - come and enjoy the fun.
Pick up race number at the Registration Tent at Royal Roads central parking lot between 9am-9:45am on October 25th.
All minors must have a guardian/adult present at the event.

Join us in this inclusive 8 km run, designed for runners of ALL abilities. The course consists of four 2 km loops with gentle hills, hay bales, and a view of Hatley Castle. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just out for fun, this race is for everyone.
Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers.
Pick up race number at the Registration Tent at Royal Roads central parking lot between 9:30am-10:15am on October 25th.

Grab your friends and join this fun, inclusive relay. Teams of four will each complete a 2 km loop featuring rolling hills, hay bales, and the scenic backdrop of Hatley Castle. Suitable for all abilities - come ready to enjoy the day!
Each member of the two winning relay teams will receive a free pair of HOKA shoes!
