Celebrating success
Vikes men’s soccer continues to build success through preparation, connection, and opportunity—made possible by donor support. This season, donor funding supported competitive pre-season and post-season travel, ensuring student-athletes trained and competed in high performance environments.
Looking ahead, the team will take part in a cross-country pre-season tour to Montreal and Ontario, facing top U SPORTS opponents and strengthening cohesion ahead of the coming season.

Exposure to elite competition allows the team to refine tactics, raise performance standards, and enter the season confident and ready. Donor investment also supports scholarships and performance technology, helping attract and retain top talent while enabling student-athletes to succeed academically and athletically.

“Donor generosity has improved my experience at UVic tremendously. Scholarships have allowed me to focus on academics and athletics without having to worry about getting a part time job during the school year and season. This is massive in improving the overall experience as a student athlete at university. The donor investment in team trips and out of season competition has allowed me to create memories and experiences with my teammates that I’ll honestly remember for the rest of my life. These trips make a huge difference in team culture and also allow us to experience places in the world we might never see if it wasn’t for sport.”
