The 2013-14 season marks Chris Franklin's first year as assistant coach with the Vikes men's basketball team.
Franklin brings a wealth of coaching experience to the Vikes men's basketball program, which include post-secondary and collegiate level basketball as well as international experience with Sjaelland, based in Holland, Denmark (2002-05), where he led his team to Danish Elite League silver and bronze medals.
Franklin enters his third season as coach of the Oak Bay High School boy's basketball team. In 2007, Franklin coached Dover Bay Secondary to a provincial championship. He has also held positions with the University of Regina (2005-06) and was also a part of the 2005 Canada Games bronze medal-winning team as a coach for Saskatchewan's provincial team.
