Sun. Oct. 25 vs. UBC Thunderbirds (UVic Turf Field) - 11:00am
SCOUTING THE UVIC VIKES
After sweeping the two-game series against the Calgary Dinos last weekend, the Vikes will need to extend their six-game unbeaten streak if they hope to challenge UBC for the conference crown. Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Williams has only allowed one goal in the past six games and has recorded seven shutouts this season.
SCOUTING THE UBC THUNDERBIRDS
The T-Birds are also coming off a weekend sweep after they dominated the Alberta Pandas last week, outscoring their opponents 9-1. UBC sits atop the Canada West Standings at 8-2-0 and holds a firm grasp of first place with 24 pts and a +19 goal differential.
HEAD TO HEAD
The last time the two teams played the then undefeated T-Birds swept the Vikes in Vancouver. UVic, however, has not lost since with four wins and two ties to their credit. The last time they played in Victoria came in the 2008 CIS Championship with the two rivals playing to a 0-0 draw.
