Vikes fall to no. 4 UBC Thunderbirds

A rough start for the visitors saw UBC striker Tyson Keam open the scoring off a penalty kick with 21:49 played. Saturday marked the third consecutive game in which UBC has capitalized on penalty kicks.

Birds' striker Gagandeep Dosanjh produced the final goal in the 43rd minute after emerging from a scramble in the Vikes box, hammering a shot into the top right corner.

UVic 'keeper #Elliot Mitrou# was peppered throughout the evening and made 8 saves as his team was outshout 22-17.

The Vikes (0-4) return to Centennial Stadium next weekend for their home opener against the Alberta Golden Bears. Kickoff on Saturday, September 25th, is scheduled for 12pm.
