VICTORIA, B.C. – Under the lights of Thunderbird Stadium the University of Victoria Vikes men's soccer team ran into trouble against the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds, dropping the result 2-1 and falling to 5-4-2 in the Canada West standings. The Thunderbirds advance to a record of 10-0-1 and are the current leaders of the Pacific division.

The T-Birds opened scoring 11 minutes into the game and went up 1-0 with a goal by
Gagandeep Doshanjh. The Vikes responded in the 23
rd minute with a goal by
Craig Gorman (Victoria, B.C.), his sixth of the season. In the second half UBC solidified the win as they put one past Vikes' keeper
Elliot Mitrou (Victoria, B.C.) and the CIS defending champs were unable to take the T-Birds to a draw.
