Tale of the Weekend

UBC's last games were also against those very same Dinos. The Thunderbirds also travelled to Calgary and came away with two wins. Their offence was firing on all cylinders in wins of 5-0 and 7-0.

Coach's Take
Lynne Beecroft, Vikes head coach
"It'll be exciting for the team, when they went to UBC a couple weekends ago I felt that they were a little intimidated. They still played very well but I think they are excited to be at home. Excited to have fans to cheer them on. I think that we have the best surface to play this game on, so I'm hoping it's an exciting weekend."
"UBC will have a couple more players back in the line up this weekend that will make their team even stronger, so I'm expecting them to be a little bit tougher."
On the games against UBC three weeks ago.
"We had a fair bit of play and were able to put a lot of pressure on their backfield. They weren't able to get the ball up to their forward line as easily as I think they thought they would be able to. I'd like to see more of that and I'd like to see more of our backfield intercepting and counter-attacking."
