VICTORIA – The University of Victoria men's soccer team blanked the University of British Columbia Okanagan, 2-0, Oct. 13 at Centennial Stadium.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Finding the game-winner after the half, Javier Sagaste's strike from the right side of the box shot straight past the UBCO goalkeeper, giving the Vikes the 1-0 lead in the 51st minute.
• A wide corner by Jordan Mckinty went to Connor Legge, who fired his shot from dead centre at the top of the box to the back of the net to seal Victoria's win, 2-0, in the 81st minute.

WORTH NOTING

• Legge's goal marked his first of the season, while Sagaste tallied his sixth.
• Callum Weir recorded three saves in his sixth clean sheet of the season.
• The Vikes have now won the last three matchups against the Heat.
• Victoria holds an 8-3-2 record following the win, while UBCO sits at 3-8-0 with the loss.
