• The Vikes enter the game as the top seed in Canada West and are also ranked No. 2 in the latest U SPORTS Top 10 poll with an overall record of 18-3 in Canada West regular and postseason play.
• UBC holds a 15-7 mark, holding the fourth seed in the conference playoff bracket and is ranked sixth in U SPORTS.
• Victoria is coming off an 88-70 win over Regina, Feb. 18, in the quarterfinals to reach the semifinal round.
• Entering the playoffs as the fifth seed, UBC defeated Mount Royal, 103-87 in the play-in round and the then-four seed Alberta, 76-65, in the quarterfinals.
• The Vikes and Thunderbirds faced off in a home-and-home series to close the conference regular season, with the Vikes claiming a 90-82 win at War Memorial Gym and 94-92 overtime win at CARSA, Feb. 9-11.
• Diego Maffia leads the Vikes with a 25.1 points per game average, while Renoldo Robinson and Elias Ralph are also averaging double-figures at 15.0 and 14.0 points per game, respectively.
