VICTORIA – The University of Victoria swimming teams sit in seventh place at the U SPORTS Swimming Championships after two days of action, Feb. 24, at Saanich Commonwealth Place.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Sophie Tarrant and Erin Epp secured A Final bids, with Tarrant taking fourth in the 100 breast prelims with a 1:09.37 showing and Epp finishing fourth in the 400 IM prelims with a 4:49.78 performance.
• In the 100 breast A Final, Tarrant finished sixth with a time of 1:11.82, while Epp finished seventh in the 400 IM A Final with a time of 5:02.40.
• Taking 10th place in both the men's and women's 50 back finals, Jacob Rambo clocked in at 26.77 on the men's side while Lauren Crisp posted a time of 30.43 on the women's side.
• Missing the podium by less than one-tenth of a second, the Vikes' men's 4x200m free relay squad of William Risk, Elijah Agostinelli Stull, Maxwell Fang, and Rambo finished in fourth place with a time of 7:35.83.
• As teams, the Vikes men and women both sit in seventh place with 234 and 216.5 points, respectively.
