NEWS & NOTES
- The Vikes enter the weekend at 2-3-0 on the season, coming off losses to Trinity Western (4-1) and Fraser Valley (1-0), Sept. 8-10.
- Alberta sits even on the year at 2-2-2 through six games, while MacEwan leads the Canada West prairie division at a perfect 6-0-0 on the season.
- Emma Skalik leads the Vikes with four goals through five matches, while Ruby Nicholas has a team-high four assists and seven points for Victoria.
- This will be the Vikes' first trip to Edmonton since the 2019 season, where the Vikes fell to MacEwan, 1-0. UVic last faced the Pandas on their home turf during the 2017 season, which resulted in a 1-0 win for the Vikes.
- Vikes head coach Tracy David returns to her old stomping grounds in Edmonton, as she was a member of the first-ever Pandas soccer team as a student-athlete and was the head coach of the Pandas soccer program from 1985 to 2000, winning six conference titles, two CIAU/CIS gold medals, two silver, and three bronze medals. David was inducted to Alberta's Sports Wall of Fame in 2007.
