VICTORIA - The University of Victoria field hockey team heads to the University of British Columbia for the final weekend of the Canada West season, Oct. 19-20. The winner of the series will be crowned the 2024 Canada West Champion.

- The Vikes and Thunderbirds each sit at 4-0-2 on the season and at the top of the Canada West standings heading into the final weekend of games. Victoria is coming off a pair of wins, 6-0 and 7-0, against Calgary, Oct. 5-6.
- Victoria has allowed just one goal on the season to date, which was conceded to the Thunderbirds, Sept. 21. Five of the Vikes' six other games have been shutouts.Â
- Chloe Langkammer leads the Vikes and ranks second in Canada West with six goals on the season. Langkammer scored three against the Dinos, Oct. 4-5, earning Canada West Player of the Week honours for the second time this season.
- The Vikes have had 12 different goal scores combine for 26 goals this season.
- Victoria is in search of the program's sixth-straight and 23rd overall Canada West title this weekend. The conference champion will also represent Canada West at the U SPORTS Championships, Oct. 31-Nov. 3.
