VICTORIA - The University of Victoria men's rugby team fell to Trinity Western University, 34-27, Oct. 26 at Wallace Field.

Back-and-forth first half results in Vikes lead
- Trinity Western was the first to get on the board, taking a 5-0 lead via try in the third minute. However, two-straight tries by the Vikes from Alex Gamage and Lockhart MacGregor in the eighth and 21st minutes, respectively, along with a Gamage convert put the Vikes in front, 12-5.
- A 25th minute try by the Spartans pulled the visiting side within two, 12-10, but try by Jaxson Jones in the 37th minute pushed the Vikes' lead back to seven, 17-10.
- A final try in the 40th minute by TWU brought the Vikes' lead down to two, 17-15, at the end of the first half.
Spartans take lead, Kim puts Vikes back in front
- Though Trinity Western scored in the 44th minute to take a 20-17 lead, Brendan Kim struck for the Vikes in the 59th minute to put the Vikes back in front. With a successful convert, the Vikes' lead sat at 24-20.
Trinity scores twice more to take the win
- Two tries and a pair of converts by the Spartans in the 65th and 71st minutes gave the visiting side a 10-point lead, 34-24.
- A penalty goal by Gamage in the 80th minute brought the final score to 34-27 for the Vikes.
