WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
UBC nets game-winner in first half
  • The Thunderbirds took a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute, and that score would remain in place through halftime.
  • UBC doubled its lead out of the halftime break, taking a 2-0 lead in the 51st minute before adding a second goal in the 67th minute for the 3-0 score.
Thunderbird defence stifles Vikes offence
  • The best look for the Vikes came on long shots throughout the game. Brianne McLeish recorded a pair of shots in the first half, sending the first right to the UBC goalkeeper for the save, and the second time sending her shot wide.
  • Ruby Nicholas attempted a shot in the 54th minute from the top of the box, but a UBC defender managed to get a foot on the ball to block it. Sophie Fingarson added long shots in the 62nd and 74th minutes, but the UBC goalkeeper was able to get in front to make the stops.
WORTH NOTING
  • The conference medal is the first for the Vikes since a similar silver medal finish in 2017.
  • UBC out-shot the VIkes 19-8, and 8-4 in shots on goal.
