Men's Rowing Chase Carter

Vikes race strong in Burnaby

Burnaby, BC – The University of Victoria men's and women's rowing teams competed at the Western Canadian University Rowing Championship at Burnaby Lake, Oct. 4.
 
DiPompeo frequents podium
  • Giancarlo DiPompeo took home first place in both men's Ltwt 1x and men's Ltwt 2x as he continued to build on a decorated Vikes' career.
 
Myste, Faubert, and Watson captured first in women's races
Elena Masyte crushed the field taking home first place in the women's Ltwt 1x race. She won by a margin of nine seconds to the second-place finisher. In the women's Ltwt 2x, the team of Charisse Faubert and Kate Watson showed their speed as they come out on top.
 
The Vikes' rowing team will return to the water for the annual Head and Tail of the Gorge race in Victoria, BC, Oct 18 and 19.
