Victoria, BC – The University of Victoria women's basketball team fell to the University of Regina 63-54, on Nov. 14 at CARSA Performance Gym.
Both teams played to slow starts.
- Offence was at a premium in the first half as both teams struggled to put the ball in the basket.
- The Cougars held a narrow margin of 33-27 as the game headed to halftime.
Vikes clawed back in the second half.
- The Vikes' defence held strong in the third quarter as they exploited the Cougars' woes and cut the lead to 46-43.
- Becker and Sigue dominated on the glass, creating plenty of second-chance scoring opportunities.
- The Cougars held on to their lead, outscoring the Vikes 17-11 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
