Kamloops, BC – The University of Victoria men's basketball team got back in the win column as the Vikes defeated Thompson Rivers University 71-58, Nov. 22 at Tournament Capital Centre.
WolfPack hung around in the first half, Vikes pulled away in crunch time
- The first half was played entirely with the Vikes in front, but the WolfPack kept the game tight.
- The Vikes were dominating on the glass, outrebounding the WolfPack on both ends of the court.
- Victoria took a 33-27 lead at halftime.
A crucial third quarter in securing the win
- The Vikes came out of halftime on a mission to put the game away. Victoria did just that as their lead was extended to 56-39, as they played with tenacity on both ends of the floor.
- Thompson Rivers attempted to make a fourth-quarter comeback, but the Vikes' lead was too much to overcome.

- The Vikes hand the WolfPack their first loss of the season and improve to 6-2 on the season. The WolfPack's record will fall to 7-1 with the loss.
- Geoffrey James and Ethan Boag led the way for the Vikes as they scored 13 points apiece.
