LAST 5 MEETINGS
- The Vikes are 1-4 against the Dinos in the last five meetings between the two sides. Last facing off in the opening weeks of the 2023-24 season, the two sides split the series with the Vikes taking game one, 122-87, and Calgary taking game two, 88-79, Nov. 3-4 at CARSA Performance Gym.
- Victoria and Calgary have not met in the Canada West playoffs since the 2011-12 season. In the best-of-three series in the quarterfinal round, the Dinos won game one, 73-68, but the Vikes came back to win the next two games, 68-61 and 90-88 to advance to the semifinals. Current Vikes assistant coach Terrell Evans led the Vikes with a 21-point performance in game two, and knocked down the buzzer-beating winning basket in game three to send the Vikes to the next round.

- The Vikes enter the semifinal matchup with a 21-0 record after defeating Fraser Valley, 106-84, in the quarterfinal round, Feb. 22. Victoria is also ranked No. 1 in the latest U SPORTS Top 10 poll.
- Ranked third in the U SPORTS Top 10 poll, Calgary holds a 17-4 record on the season following a 98-84 win over Trinity Western in the quarterfinals, Feb. 22. Calgary finished the Canada West season with a 16-4 record and second in the prairie division standings to earn the fourth overall seed for the tournament.Â
- Victoria's Renoldo Robinson and Ethan Boag were named Canada West All-Stars, Feb. 27. Robinson was selected to the first team, marking his first conference honour since his all-rookie nod in 2022-23. Boag's second team selection also marks his second conference recognition, having been named to the all-rookie team in 2021-22.
- Robinson and Boag also enter the weekend as the two leading scorers for the Vikes, sitting at 15.1 and 13.5 points per game, respectively. Boag is tied with Sergio Pereira as the top rebounder on the team, each averaging 5.6 boards per game.
- The Vikes are appearing in the Canada West Final Four for the fourth-straight season, and is the second time in the four-year stretch the Vikes have hosted the round on home court. The Vikes defeated Regina, 74-62 in the 2022 playoff semifinal on Alberta's court, and UNBC in the 2024 semifinals, 80-68, at Manitoba. Victoria posted a semifinal win over UBC on home court in 2023, taking the 91-83 win to advance to the Canada West final.
