Victoria, BC - A look ahead to the games, meets, and tournaments the Vikes will be competing in this week.

Rowing
Saturday, March 28
  • Campbell-Dowd Cup: 12:05 p.m. (Men's) and 12:25 p.m. (Women's)
  • Brown Cup: 1:05 p.m. (Men's) and 1:25 p.m. (Women's)
Vikes will host the UBC Thunderbirds for the annual Brown Cup and Campbell-Dowd Cup on the Gorge Waterway.

Men's Rugby
Saturday, March 28 at 2:30 p.m.
Vikes will host Burnaby at Wallace Field, Victoria, BC.
 
Game Preview:
  • Coming off a season high in scoring, the Vikes put up 68 points in a 68-12 win over the Meraloma RFC on March 21.
  • In their matchup in the fall, Burnaby defeated the Vikes 39-28, pushing their record in this matchup to 11-8.
 
Golf
Monday, March 30 & Tuesday, March 31
BC Match Play Championship hosted by the University of Fraser Valley, Chilliwack, BC
 
Last Tournament Recap:
  • The University of Victoria women's golf team secured second place at the TMU Spring Invite at La Purisima Golf Course, March 16 and 17. Cindy Koira prevailed to win the individual title as she captured first place with a tournament-best +4 in her final round.
  • Cindy Koira delivered a round to remember as she played her best golf of the year in the clutch to finish atop the individual leaderboard. Koira's 82 in round one and 76 in round two allowed her to make a late surge, posting the best round of the tournament.
  • Antonia Ho fired the second-best round of the tournament as she shot an 80 on round two, bringing her within the top ten with a seventh-place finish.
  • Brynne Davies had a consistent tournament, shooting an 83 on day one and an 84  on day two to secure an eighth-place finish.
  • The University of Victoria men's golf team finished 10th in The Battle hosted by Wayland Baptist, March 23 and 24.
  • Owen Croft (75, 69, 75) delivered a 69 in round two, posting a score three below par, tied for the best round of the tournament. Croft posted +3s in both rounds one and three, securing him a T-7 finish.
  • Maguire Lines (78, 76, 74) trimmed two shots off each round to finish within the top 50. Lines fired a 74 in the final round, one of his best of the season, securing a T-41 finishing position.
