VICTORIA - As soccer fever sweeps across the country, Canada West student-athletes and fans can officially begin counting down to the 2026 conference season.

Canada West has unveiled its 2026 soccer schedule, with the Vikes set to open their home campaign with a doubleheader against Thompson Rivers University on Friday, Aug. 27 at Centennial Stadium. The men's team will kick off Thunderfest action at 5 p.m., followed by the women's match at 7:15 p.m.

The Vikes men's team will host eight regular-season home matches, wrapping up its home schedule against UBC Okanagan on Saturday, Oct. 17. The women's team will host seven Canada West home games, with its final regular-season home contest also set for Oct. 17 against UBC Okanagan.

The regular season runs through Oct. 25, with the playoffs beginning Oct. 30.

On the women's side, the postseason opens with quarterfinal action from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 before shifting to a Final Four format Nov. 6–7, hosted by the highest remaining seed in the Prairie Division.

The men's postseason will feature quarterfinal and semifinal matches from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1, with the gold-medal match scheduled for Nov. 6 or 7. The championship will be hosted by the highest remaining seed in the Pacific Division.

Looking ahead to the national stage, a pair of Canada West programs will welcome the country's top teams to the West Coast from Nov. 12–15. The Victoria Vikes will host the U SPORTS Men's Soccer Championship at Centennial Stadium, while UBC will host the U SPORTS Women's Soccer Championship in Vancouver.

The last time the Vikes men hosted the national championship, in 2011, they captured the program's most recent U SPORTS title on home turf.
