19th Annual Vikes Championship Breakfast
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 19th Annual Vikes Championship Breakfast and invested in the future of Vikes student-athletes.
Thanks to the generosity of our alumni, community partners, sponsors and supporters, this year's event raised $728,292 in support of Vikes student-athletes.
For 19 years, the Vikes Championship Breakfast has brought together a community committed to helping student-athletes succeed. Since 2008, the event has raised more than $10.5 million, helping student-athletes pursue their academic and athletic goals while developing the skills and leadership qualities that will serve them long after graduation.
This year's event featured an inspiring cross country and track-themed panel moderated by local media personality Mira Laurence. The panel included:
- Trish Fougner, UVic Sports Hall of Fame inductee and women’s cross country alumna
- Hilary Stellingwerff, two-time Olympian and Vikes cross country and track head coach
- Gabe Van Hezewijk, Vikes alumnus and U SPORTS bronze medallist
Their stories of determination, character, and belonging highlighted the lasting impact scholarship support can have on the student-athlete experience.
Whether you supported a specific varsity team or contributed to the Vikes All Sport Fund, your generosity is helping create opportunities for student-athletes to thrive in the classroom, in competition and in their communities.
