Dobravsky and Styles pace Vikes to victory

The UVic Vikes men's rugby team edged closer to securing a Barnard Cup berth on Saturday, dismantling the Castaway-Wanderers 43-7 at Windsor Park.

First year forward #Dustin Dobravsky# and #Keaton Styles# each recorded a brace with tries also coming courtesy of #Brett Beukeboom#, #Willem DuPLessis# and #Beau Parke#r. Canadian international #Phil Mack# kicked four converts.

The bonus point win sees the Vikes sitting at least six points clear of Velox heading into the bye week, potentially setting up a thrilling season finale against their Gordon Head rivals on November 20th at Wallace Field.

The Vikes played stiff defence for much of the game, capitalizing on the Castaway-Wanderer's offensive miscues. Both of Styles' tries saw the second-year winger sprint 70 metres to dot down over the try line.

The Vikes are back in action at Wallace Field on November 20th. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:45pm.
