CALGARY, AB - Izak Lawrence netted two goals on Saturday afternoon to lead the Calgary Dinos to a 3-0 victory over the UVic Vikes men's soccer team in their Canada West opener.

Lawrence scored twice in the span of seven minutes breaking the deadlock in the 24th minute and netting his second in the 31st.
The defending conference champs UVic Vikes were unable to stop the Dinos attack in the second frame as Brian Delaney scored Calgary's third in the 59th minute. Vikes 'keeper #
Elliot Mitrou# made nine saves as the Vikes were outshot 15-7 by the final whistle.
The Vikes will look to leave Alberta with a 1-1 record when they head to Lethbridge to face the Pronghorns who fell 2-0 to the Fraser Valley Cascades in their home opener. Kickoff in Lethbridge is scheduled for 2:15pm on Sunday, September 12.
