VICTORIA, B.C. – Riding a wave of recent success as winners of the 2013 National University Sevens Championship, Mar. 1-2, and victorious in last night's rugby union match against Canada's U-20 men's team, the University of Victoria Vikes find themselves in a premier league island battle this Saturday, Mar. 9, against the Castaway Wanderers.

The Vikes currently sit fourth place in the Canadian Direct Insurance Premier league with an even record of 4-4 while the Castaway Wanderers are sixth in the standings with their record of 2-5-1.
The last time these two sides met, on Nov. 17 in a Barnard Cup match before the season break, the Vikes came out on top with a 23-17 win but were bested by the Oak Bay side 30-26 one week earlier.
