VICTORIA – The University of Victoria Vikes men's rugby squad will look to turn their fortunes around when they head back to Vancouver, B.C. to face Burnaby Lake RFC. The Vikes have yet to tally a win in 2014 after conceding losses to Burnaby Lake and Capilano RFC over the last two weeks.

Victoria will field a similar roster from last week's that will include national team members
Sean Duke and Pat Kay. Duke's size, speed and skill was a welcome addition to the Vikes roster, who have had to deal with injuries to key starters. Kay continues to play a major factor for Victoria as he takes over kicking duties in the absence of league-leading scorer
Fergus Hall.
Â
Saturday's game features the league's top-2 offences going head-to-head for the second time in three weeks, with three Burnaby players currently residing amongst the BCRU's top-10 scorers. Geoff Ryan currently stands in second-place in league scoring with 55 points, while teammates Joe Dolesau and Brian Murphy sit in sixth and seventh-place with 35 and 30 points, respectively.
Â
"We're really going to have to work on our unforced errors this weekend, those have been killing us these last two weeks," said Vikes head coach Doug Tate. "Burnaby is the best team in the league so we're really going to have to work on those, we've been beating ourselves."
Â
Playing in snow-covered conditions last weekend, the Vikes opened up with arguably their strongest half of the 2013-14 season, before suffering a second-half collapse based off of unforced errors from their own half of the field. They will have to eliminate those if they hope to defeat first-place Burnaby Lake, who currently lead the standings with 35 points and are currently riding a four-game winning streak.

The UVic Vikes and Burnaby Lake RFC will meet for the second time in three weeks when they kick-off, Mar. 1 at 2:45 p.m.
