Tale of the Weekend
VICTORIA—The Vikes men's rugby team will face James Bay this weekend in an away game, as they come toward the strectch run of the Island Premier season.
James Bay have remained undefeated this season so the Vikes will need to bring their best efforts in order to qualify for the Barnard Cup Final. The game will take place on the home turf of James Bay on Saturday, November 5 at 2:45 p.m.
These final matches of the regular season are crucial for the Vikes to solidify their spot in the Cup Final, as well as qualify for the B.C. Premier League.
Last Time Out
The Vikes were victorious over the Westshore Valhallians this past weekend, dropping them in a decisive win of 40-11.
James Pitsblado led the way scoring two tries.
Isaac Kaay,
Lucas Hammond, and
Kaprieli Vataiki also scored a try each, and
Guiseppe duToit solidified the win with five conversions.
They will be looking to carry on the positives from the weekend to their game against James Bay.
James Bay won an extremely tight contest last weekend. They remain undefeated after squeaking out a 12-7 win over the Castaway Wanderers.

"This is a vital game on Saturday if we have any aspirations/intentions of being in the Barnard Cup Final in early December. James Bay are undefeated at this point of the fall season, so in order for us to qualify for the Cup we must overtake Castaways in the standings. It's a big big game so we need a good result"
