Tale of the Weekend
VICTORIA – A perfect start to their season will have the UVic Vikes women's basketball team full of confidence when they travel to Langley, B.C. for a pair of games against the Trinity Western Spartans on Nov. 10 and 11.
Playing at 6 p.m. on Friday and 5 p.m. on Saturday, the team will be putting their perfect 4-0 start to the season on the line against a Spartan squad that is 3-1 in Canada West play.
These teams split a pair of close games in Victoria last season. The Spartans earned a 64-60 victory in the first game of their weekend set before the Vikes rebounded for an 87-82 win on the second night.
Last Time Out
Both teams earned a sweep last weekend.
The Vikes battled their way to victory over the Brandon Bobcats in two hard-fought games in Manitoba, picking up the sweep by scores of 93-87 and 84-80. Fourth-year guard

Ashlyn Day led the Vikes in a fourth quarter comeback on the second night.
The Spartans stayed at home last weekend where they picked up a sweep of the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves.
Trinity Western demolished the T-Wolves by a score of 91-65 in the first game and was able to grind out a 61-54 victory in game number two.
