VICTORIA – The University of Victoria men's rugby team will welcome the Pacific Pride to Wallace Field Saturday, Jan. 29 to open the spring 2022 season.

NEWS & NOTES

• UVic opens its spring 2022 schedule with a match against the Pacific Pride.
• The Vikes and Pride matched up in October, 2021, at Starlight Stadium in Langford, B.C. Down, 21-3 at the half, Victoria was on the offensive out of the break, coming back to take the 22-21 lead with just under 10 minutes to play. However, the Pride would score the final 12 points and come away with a 33-22 win.
• The match marks the first-of-eight for the Vikes in their spring season, and first-of-five to be played at Wallace Field.
• UVic will be without Noah Bain, who is with Rugby Canada at the HSBC Sevens Series in Malaga and Seville, Spain.

The Vikes will be on the road for their lone match of February, taking on the UBCOB Ravens Rugby Club in Vancouver, B.C.
