Women's basketball wins Darcel Wright Memorial Classic

The University of Victoria women's basketball team captured the Darcel Wright Memorial Classic championship at Toronto Metropolitan University, Oct. 23. 

Over three days of competition, the Vikes defeated TMU, 70-62, Western Ontario, 82-71, and McMaster, 73-71, to go 3-0 and capture the tournament crown.

The Vikes open the Canada West season Nov. 4 at the University of Lethbridge.
