VICTORIA - The University of Victoria men's rugby team heads to Vancouver, B.C. to take on the University of British Columbia in the second and final leg of the Wightman Boot, Oct. 28.

NEWS & NOTES

• The Vikes sit at 4-2 on the season and are on a three-game win streak with wins over Trinity Western, 32-17 (Sept. 30), and UBC, 24-19 (Oct. 14), and Capilano RFC, 36-7 (Oct. 21).
• UBC holds a 2-4 record on the year, most recently falling to the UBCOB Ravens, 42-24, Oct. 28.
• UVic captured the first leg of the Wightman Boot two weeks ago with a 24-19 victory at Wallace Field, and looks to keep the boot in its possession after winning it back for the first time in nine seasons in 2022.
• The match marks the final university competition for the Vikes prior to the Canadian University Men's Rugby Championships. After UBC, Victoria will take on Westshore, Nov. 4, before the championships begin Nov. 15 in Langley, B.C.
