Men's rugby faces Castaway Wanderers in final test prior to Canadian University Championships

VICTORIA - The University of Victoria men's rugby team faces the Castaway Wanderers in their final test before the Canadian University University Men's Rugby Championships, Nov. 4 at Windsor Park.

  • The Vikes sit at 4-3, coming off its first loss in four games at UBC, 31-25, Oct. 28.
  • Saturday's matchup will be the final competition for the Vikes ahead of the Canadian University Men's Rugby Championships, set for Nov. 15-19 on the campus of Trinity Western University.
  • Victoria narrowly missed out on its defence of the Wightman Boot, after a six-point loss to UBC negated their previous five-point lead in the point difference.
