- The Vikes will compete in the 600m, 1000m, 1500m, and 3000m races along with the 4x400m and 4x800m relays at the conference championships.
- 24 student-athletes will represent the Vikes at the championship, comprised of 13 women and 11 men.
- Jennifer Erickson (3000m silver), Daniel Damian (3000m bronze), and three-of-four members of the gold medal-winning 4x800m squad in David Waller, Benjamin Seshadri, and Anton Kuipers, highlight the Vikes that medalled in 2022 and will look to repeat in 2023.
- The top two finishers in each event this weekend will receive a U SPORTS championship qualification if the mark is outside the top-12 rankings.
- The Vikes hold five U SPORTS top-12 rankings heading into the weekend, with Erickson ranking third in the 3000m and sixth in the 1500m, Georgia Ginther in 10th in the 3000m, the women's 4x800m relay team in 11th, and men's 4x800m relay team in ninth place.
- Canada West teams will get a preview of the U SPORTS Track & Field Championships site as Saskatchewan also hosts the national championships in March.
