Llano, Calif. – The University of Victoria women's golf team captured its second-straight tournament victory at The Master's University Spring Invitational, April 8-9, at Crystalaire Country Club.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cindy Koira posted the top Vikes finish, holding steady in second place individually after rounds of 78 and 80 to finish +14 overall.
- Carding an 82 in the first round of play, Mya Rowan dropped five strokes in round two to finish +15 overall and in third place.
- Brynne Davies added a top-10 finish, taking sixth following rounds of 84 and 82 (+22).
- Lana Rummel posted the biggest round over round improvement for the Vikes, dropping from an 89 to a 80 to tie for 14th individually at +25.
- Fiona McCombe rounded out the Vikes' five with 86 and 84 rounds to finish in 16th place at +26.
- As a team, the Vikes finished in first place at +73 overall, shooting +42 in round one and +31 in round two.
