Buckeye, AZ – The University of Men's golf team played strong and finished fourth as a team at the Firestorm Fall Invitational at Verrado Golf Club, hosted by Arizona Christian University.
 
Highlighted Performances
Solomon Decksheimer led the Vikes with his best performance of the season. Decksheimer (70, 74, 68) was in contention atop the leaderboard all tournament as he finished with a tournament score of -4, capturing a fifth-place finish in the men's division. Decksheimer's final round of 68 was tied for third third-best round of any player in the tournament.
 
Owen Croft (74,70, 76) joined Decksheimer in the top 25 with his strong three rounds. Croft was coming off his gold medal at the Canada West Championships and continued his strong play in Arizona. Croft's tournament featured a second-round score of -2, which was among the lowest on the course.
 
The Vikes will return to competition in the spring of 2026.
