Silvis, IL – The University of Victoria men's golf team finished 11th, including an Owen Croft individual third-place finish at the NAIA Men's National Championship at TPC Deere Run on May 12-15.

  • Owen Croft's incredible first round had him tied for the solo lead after firing an opening round score of -2, highlighted by five birdies.
  • Solomon Decksheimer rallied with one of his best nines of the year as he fired a 35 on the back nine of round one. Decksheimer followed up his first-round 74 with a second-round 77.

Croft and the Vikes climbed the leaderboard in the last two rounds of the Championship.
  • Parker Riou subbed in for Jagre Knight and fired a 76 for a third-round score of +6, only to follow that up with a 72 in the final round. Riou's 72 sets a new season best.
  • Sam Kurytnik's tournament was highlighted by a third-round score of 73, starting a charge as the Vikes darted up the leaderboard, jumping four teams in the last two rounds.

Owen carried his strong play into the final round, firing a +1 round of 71 to capture a third-place finish and push the Vikes into the 11th spot on the team leaderboard.
