Calgary, Alta. – The University of Victoria field hockey team completed the weekend sweep of the University of Calgary with a second-straight 6-0 win, Sept. 8.

Three goals give the Vikes the lead after the first quarter
- Anni Kleinschmidt and Amanda Adams scored for the Vikes on two penalty corner opportunities to open the scoring, with Kleinschmidt connecting in the sixth minute and Adams in the 13th for the 2-0 Vikes lead.
- Chloe Langkammer recorded her third goal of the season in the 14th minute to give the Vikes a 3-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Mittelsteadt puts the Vikes up by four at the half
- In the final minute of the second quarter, Madeline Mittelsteadt scored her second goal of the series to put the Vikes ahead, 4-0, at halftime.
Dunham strikes in the third
- Josie Dunham added to the Vikes' lead with a goal in the 39th minute, bringing UVic's lead to 5-0 after three periods of play.
Lee scores in the fourth to round out Vikes' scoring
- Sadie Lee rounded out the Vikes' scoring efforts, putting the ball in the back of the net in the 48th minute to secure a 6-0 win for the Vikes.
Chace records second-straight shutout
- Goalkeeper Anais Chace and the Vikes' defensive line recorded their second-straight shutout of the year in the win.

- Chloe Langkammer and Amanda Adams have matched their 2023 season scoring totals with their goal in today's win with three and two goals, respectively.
- Madeline Mittelsteadt has doubled her 2023 goal production with her goal in the win, now sitting at two on the season (one in 2023).
- Anni Kleinschmidt's goal marked her first of the season.
- The Vikes start the season 2-0, while the Dinos open the year 0-2.
