Kamloops, BC – The University of Victoria women's basketball team defeated Thompson Rivers University 50-42, Nov. 21 at Tournament Capital Centre.
Vikes dominated the first half.
- Victoria came out on fire on both ends of the court. The first quarter ended with the Vikes on top 18-7.
- The WolfPack began to find the bottom of the net in the second quarter, but the Vikes countered every score. The Vikes held a 31-20 lead as the game hit halftime.
Scoring slowed in the second half, but the Vikes remained on top.
- The defensive units of both squads dominated the second half as scoring halted and the game became a rock fight. Makena Anderson and Eden Henderson's shooting allowed the Vikes to keep their lead into the dying moments.
- The WolfPack did everything they could to get within striking distance, but the Vikes continued to halt every offensive run.

- With the win, the Vikes improve to 4-4, while the WolfPack fall to 2-6.
- Makena Anderson led the Vikes with 14 points.
- Abigail Becker dominated on the glass as she corralled a game-high 12 rebounds.
The Vikes and WolfPack will meet again tomorrow, Nov. 22, for a rematch at 4 p.m.
