Spokane, Wash. – The University of Victoria track teams continued their 2025 season with strong showings at the Spokane Riverfront Invite, Feb. 7-8.

Coupal, Lagat lead Vikes in 600m, 800m

• In the men's 600m, Cole Coupal and Miika Lagat finished sixth and 10th with times of 1:23.43 and 1:25.58, respectively, to post a pair of top-10 finishes for the Vikes against NCAA and NAIA competition.
• Coupal and Lagat also posted the top Vikes times in the men's 800m, with Coupal finishing 29th at 1:58.03 and Lagat in 44th after crossing the line in 2:01.98.

Arcadi leads Vikes in pair of events

• Monika Arcadi posted the top Vikes finishes in two events on the women's side, taking 23rd in the 800m with a time of 2:19.47 and 22nd in the mile at 5:10.11 to lead the team.

Three Vikes finish in 3000m top 20

• Christina Peet-Williams led the Vikes women in the 3000m, posting the team's top finish with a 17th-place, 10:25.55 showing.
• Jacob Webster and Luke Suchoski added top-20 finishes in the men's 3000m, with Webster taking 15th at 8:42.31 and Suchoski in 19th at 8:47.92.

Hopkins goes sub-4:30 in men's mile

• Matthew Hopkins finished in 26th place with a time of 4:27.60 in the men's mile to lead the Vikes in the event.
