🏆 Vikes women’s field hockey captures sixth-straight national title
The 2024–25 season brought all the drama of a championship run—and your support was with us every step of the way.
Canada West
- Final weekend: Everything on the line
- After a Saturday loss to UBC, Vikes needed a win on Sunday to reach nationals
- In the final five minutes—in driving rain—we earned a penalty stroke and scored
- Added two late goals to seal the win and punch our ticket to nationals
U SPORTS Nationals
- Competed against Waterloo, UPEI, and host York in a new four-team format
- On unfamiliar rubberized turf, the Vikes showed what champions are made of: Adaptability, resilience, and relentless teamwork
- 🥇 Result: Sixth consecutive national title for Vikes Field Hockey
🌱 Building chemistry, bonding for battle
This year’s success started with preseason in Boston, where the team:
- Faced off against NCAA Ivy League opponents Dartmouth and Harvard
- Built chemistry and cohesion that would pay off in high-pressure moments later in the season
Thanks to donor support, this trip helped lay the groundwork for both
tactical growth and lasting team bonds.
