The University of Victoria Vikes Varsity Council’s female Athlete of the Month is Vikes basketball player Jenna Bugiardini. 

Recently nominated as the Canada West Rookie of the Year, Vikes women’s basketball player Jenna Bugiardini has proved to be a valuable addition to one of UVic’s most storied sports programs.  

Bugiardini has started 19 of 22 conference games and averaged 23.7 minutes per game. The first year from Hamilton, Ont. has an offensive rebounding average of 2.3 with the team high 2.4. Bugiardini averaged 5.6 points per game in the regular season and 5.8 in playoffs. Bugiardini leads the Vikes in blocked shot as she tallied 7 over the course of both the regular season and the post-season.
