With three hat tricks that contributed to a current total of 12 goals in 9 games, second-year women’s soccer player Emma Greig is Canada West’s leading goal scorer. Greig posts a goals-per-game average of 1.33 and with several assists credited to the Tofino-born striker, Greig is only two points away from leading Canada West in overall points.
“Emma is still a young, developing striker,” said Vikes women’s soccer head coach Tracy David. “She is a much improved player from last year and now understands the level of competition that we’re up against. She has become a smarter player and her assists prove that.”
Consistently, Greig has been able to find the back of the net and in the lead up to the CIS Women’s Soccer Championships hosted by UVic in November, the Vikes will look to Greig to continue her streak.
