Second-year Keegan Zanatta has been awarded the Original Joe’s men’s athlete of the month following his outstanding performances at the 2014 Canada West swimming championship. Zanatta finished first in the men’s 200-m freestyle relay with a time of 1:47.62. The next day, he added another medal to the Vikes’ tally with a bronze medal in the men’s 200-m butterfly and helped Vikes finish fourth in 800-m freestyle relay.  He qualified for the CIS championships on Feb.20-22 in both of his medal winning events and in the 800-m relay. To top it off, the Victoria native was also given a first team Canada West all-star nod.
