Fifth-year forward Emma Greig has been honoured with this September’s Female Athlete of the Month award. The Tofino, B.C. native has been a rock for the Vikes women’s soccer side over the past four seasons, and continued that trend this year by adding three goals and four assists for the Vikes in their first seven games of the season. Greig is currently second in the Canada West in points and assists, and also fourth in total shots on target with 20. On a Sept. 26-27 road trip, Greig added a total of one goal and three assists in 3-0 and 5-1 wins against Thompson Rivers and UBC Okanagan, respectively. She was awarded Canada West Third Star of the Week honours for her efforts in the two wins, helping the Vikes stretch their win streak to four games and an overall record of 4-2-1 in September.
